Community Engagement

HOSPITAL, HOME AND HOSPICE VISITS

Sub-branch volunteers visit all of the major hospitals in south Canberra on a request basis. They aim to visit every veteran, RSL member and Legacy widow or widower. If you are hospitalised, ask the Veterans Liaison Officer to contact our team. Hospice visits are made as required and home visits by appointment. Call us on 6285 1931 if we can be of assistance.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Other agencies and ESOs: We liaise with Federal and ACT government agencies, organisations and other ex-service organisations to help provide welfare services.
Schools, aged care: We engage with schools and aged care residences to deliver ceremonial commemorations.
Funerals: We can help arrange RSL Funeral Tributes for veterans. Phone 6285 1931 to arrange for an official tribute to be delivered by an RSL volunteer.
